Some things to consider asking yourself and how I answered these questions
Am I managing my money effectively?
I believe I am now. Since my financial situation changed a lot, I have been keeping a close eye on my budget and sticking to it as close as possible.
What is the best way to pay my debt off?
This question isn’t hard to answer, but it has too many variables to be the same for everyone. It depends on the type of interest, the amount owed, the interest rate, how much you pay in interest when you are paying the minimum payments, and if you make minimum payments, how long it will take to pay the debt off.
Do I know how much interest is my bank offering for a savings account?
Yes, I do know how much interest my bank is offering for a savings account. It is where I keep my money. So usually you can Google that if you do not know how to find it, but looking online where you would find your account information should also tell you how much interest it offers. Banks often offer better interest rates through a tier system which, in my opinion, is a really bad incentive to bank with that institution. Every bank’s savings account interest rate is public.
What are my financial goals?
My financial goals for the short term are things that I want but do not need. Such as a new computer, and a better sound system for my car . In the long term I am saving up to go back to college. Your short term goals do not have to just be things you want.
